Alie Killian

Managing Director

Alie is a founding member of Klein Karoo Fund and co-director on the boards of various property companies. Over the last 30 years Alie has been involved with large Civil Engineering projects in the Western Cape of which the last 15 years was spent as developer of various prestige projects.

Alie is currently the managing director of the Caves Retirement development where he oversees the operations as well as Chairman of the Trustee Board.

He is the managing director of Pretzavest 57 (Pty) Ltd, the company that owns the Queen’s Hotel business where he is responsible for the daily operations.

Jollet van der Berg

Financial Director

Jolette van der Bergh (financial director of the company) completed her B.Com HED at the University of Stellenbosch in 1990. Thereafter she practised till 2015 as an Accountant in her own practice. She also obtained diplomas in Tax, Advanced Tax and Estate Planning from UNISA.

In 2016 she joined her attorneys husband’s firm as accountant and office manager. Jolette has over 27 years’ experience in various branches of the accounting industry. Since 2002 she has been involved in the hospitality business and also serves as director in a property management company.

Henco Rademeyer


Henco is co-founder and Managing Director at Dryland Event Management, a world leading event management company who owns and manages various International sporting events within the trail running and mountain biking disciplines.

He is a founding member, director and chairman of the Klein Karoo Fund and he is a director and shareholder of the Queens Hotel, a recent acquisition to KKF’s portfolio.

He is a director and shareholder of Dryland Ride (Pty) Ltd, an adventure tourism outfit providing exclusive mountain bike tours and to the national and international adventure tourist visiting Southern Africa.

Ernest Neethling


De Villiers is a founding member of the Klein Karoo Fund and the managing director of De Villiers Neethling and Partners, a quantity surveying company. He serves as a director on several property investment companies and he is also personally involved in various property developments in the Garden Route and Karoo areas.

The last 25 years he has been involved with various multi-million rand projects as a consultant and often as the developer on projects like Klapperbosrant, Bergsig and Bergsig Villas, the Queen’s Square development, Oudtshoorn Retirement Village and Millennium Park.

He currently serves as managing director of the Queens Riverside Mall, director and project manager of Crimson Sunrise Properties, the owners of the Queens Hotel and adjacent commercial complex. He is also director and project manager of the Caves Retirement Village development.

Viljee Keller


Viljee is a shareholder of Klein Karoo Fund. He is a shareholder and director of Vestsec (Pick ‘n Pay Mall) and a shareholder and director of Crimson (Pty) Ltd (Queen’s Mall).

He is a chartered management accountant who serves as director on various companies. He is the owner of Mooiplaas Guest House & Spa in the Oudtshoorn area and also the owner of Van der Stel Manor, a 5 star guest house in Stellenbosch. He and his brother is the owners of various ostrich and lucern farms in the Oudtshoorn area and the owner of Highgate Ostrich Show Farm. He also serves as director on the South African Ostrich Business Chamber.



Klein Karoo Fund is a public company and a regional property investment group with interests in the property development, commercial retail, tourism and residential sectors of the market.

In 2005 a group of discerning local investors realized the growth potential in well managed properties and the Klein Karoo Fund was established shortly thereafter with the acquisition of the Seppie Greeff Building. This investment was the catalyst in a number of acquisitions that saw the Klein Karoo Fund grow into the market leader it currently is.

Klein Karoo Fund is currently the major shareholder in the Queen’s Hotel with a 20% stake.
